We had the U12/19 Munster indoor champs this weekend And starting with the U12s we had an excellent weekend.

Ruairí Walshe took 2nd in his heat and 5th overall after an excellent run In the U12 boys 600m.

U15 Tom Walshe retained his Munster 800m title with a very impressive performance in 2m16s.
Ellen O'Dwyer with a clearence of 1.55m took the silver medal in the U15 high jump for her first Munster individual medal and well done to Emma Carolan receiving Bronze in the U15 shot Put.
Ellie and Sarah McEvoy were both busy this weekend after competing in the 60m Hurdles (Ellie), 60m Dash (Sarah) as well as High Jump and Shot Put. Ellie was 4th U15 high jump with a PB of 1.50m. Sarah also made a PB of 1.30m. Well done both!

Luke Purcell who is usually more at home at cross country was our top performer in the U16 age group with a battling 2nd place in the 1500m which will give him lots of confidence going into the upcoming all Ireland schools cross country.

James Sage who is returning from injury took 3rd place in the U16 hurdles and Seán Hayes was 4th in his U16 800m final.

Another athlete who came into the championships hoping to retain their title was Ailbhe O'Neill in the U17 800m. This she did in style and also added the 1500m title for good measure to come out as our star athlete of the weekend.

Louis Doyle took the bronze medal in the U17 200m final in a very tight race for his first Munster individual medal.

Our two U19 boys took a title each with Joe McEvoy winning the 60m hurdles and Sean Carolan winning the Long jump with Joe taking the silver in the same event.
