Use the following link to confirm your entry (Contact us ASAP with any problems): https://ireland.entry4sports.com/entry/v5/competition/showEntriesV2.php?compid=105 Timetable of Events for the three days can be found here: 28th March, 29th March & 4th April https://www.athleticsireland.ie/competition/fixtures/  It was National Senior Indoor weekend in Abbottstown and with two of our big medal hopes either injured in Rob Bennett or still not 100% after a recent bout of flu in Paul White it was down to our younger athletes to provide the excitement . Up stepped Sean Carolan who is still U20 and with a throw of 13.40m he secured the bronze medal for his first national senior medal. We had two men in the 400m . Paul White despite not being 100% put up a good show to finish 2nd in his heat which was not quiet good enough to reach the final. He will be back stronger than ever for the outdoor season. Young Tom McCutcheon ran 54 sec for 4th spot in his 400m heat also and is making great strides despite being just 16yrs. The kids were just getting into their stride now and our three girls in the 800m put up a brilliant show despite two being of the tender age of 16 & 17. It was 17yr old Sarah Lane who proved the strongest of our trio by reaching the final and running a 2.11 Pb in the process. Both Ailbhe O'Neill and Aoife Delargy also raced very strongly both finishing 4th in their heats and a lot of people took notice of the next generation of Irish female half milers. Lewis Doyle never got going in his 200m heat and finished 5th. Along with Sean Carolan in the shot putt was Michael Lynch and Dan Finnerty and they performed very well to finish 5th and 6th with Michael's best going out to 11.28m for a new Pb. So after a great weekend of indoor racing it's back to cross country next weekend with the All Ireland schools Cross Country in Santry Demense in Dublin. It's always a great days racing and all the athletes are really looking forward to it. The All Ireland juvenile U13 / 19 is on in 3 weeks in Athlone on the 28th & 29th of March.
