 Borrisokane native and Portumna based athlete Niall Kelly recently represented Nenagh Olympic and Ireland at the European Masters Athletic Championships held in Venice Italy. Niall competed in the 100m, 200m and the 100m hurdles. Niall ran a PB in the hurdles finishing in 9th place overall in that event just missing the final by one place. He ran a seasons best time in the 200m but was below par in the 100m running into a 2 meter per second headwind.
