County Tipperary T&F Championships

Update 10th may

County T&F kicks off tomorrow morning, Saturday for the U13 to U19 age groups. Then again on Sunday for the U9 to U12 age groups. Start lists were posted here on Facebook and on our website earlier in the week. We've ~ 90 Athletes entered from our club with over 1300 from clubs across the county.
For some this will be your first time attending a competition / outdoor competition:

First things first - this is an enjoyable weekend of athletics. For the older athletes a chance to try something they normally do not compete in. For the younger athletes a chance to have fun with friends in a positive competitive environment.
Arrive on time - we recommend 45 mins before the scheduled start time (which can be found on the time tables below).
Find a club official and get your number as soon as you arrive.
You'll be charged €5 per Adult at the gate.
The weather is looking 'grand' for the weekend, but Templemore is a cold track so make sure everyone is wrapped up.
There's a shop at the track serving soup/sandwiches etc etc, but you may also want to bring your own (and bring lots...)
If you have deck / camping chairs - bring them :-)
Relay teams will be picked on the day, close to the time, and is dependent on who is there.

(Relay teams will be picked be selected on the day by the coaches. We get a lot of questions on this.... We can only do this on the day & prior to the relay start times as the selection will be based on who is there (Not every one entered competes & not everyone who competes remains at the track for the duration)).

Update 17th April

The success of a club is not measured by results alone! It can also measured by the enjoyment our athletes have and increasing the number of members actively competing!
The juvenile county indoors entry number was a big success for the club with a record 140 of the eligible 200 Juv. members entering competition
That's 70% of our Juvenile membership (65% of the boys and 75% of the girls).
Let's see if we can beat that record for the county outdoor Track and Field. (not that we are competitive :-)!!)
We will start taking your entries at training in the CBS tomorrow evening, Thursday 18th. (Scroll down for more info).

Update 16th April

The cost is €2.50 per event

Please select your event(s) from the timetable links below, write them in/on an envelope (include the Athlete's name + Adult contact name & Number), add the entry cost and hand that to a club official or to your coach.
Club Officials will be in the CBS on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights - starting this Thursday 18th April.
If you have questions please speak with your coach.
Please send in your entries as soon as possible and this week is preferable.
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS THURSDAY 2nd MAY.

We plan on holding competition entry nights as we did for the county indoors.
