EVENT DATE - Sat 07/02/15 Venue - Nenagh Olympic Indoor Complex --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Munster Relay Success The club hosted the Munster Indoor u9 to u19 Relay Championships and we had one of it’s most successful outings for some time. With a haul of five gold including two new Championships best performances, three silvers and a bronze as well as two fourth place finishes in finals. Our athletes did themselves proud! Eleven boys and ten girls teams represented the club over the day which was a great turnout and a big improvement on recent years, which was great to see. It was especially pleasing to see our u9 teams competing so well as all of these athletes are new to the sport and we hope they have many years of enjoyment to come. Our boys u12 and u14 teams both set new Munster Championship best times in their finals with two great runs while our boys u9, u11, and girls u19 also won gold. The girls u9 team won silver as did the boys u15 and girls u16, while our boys u13 team won bronze. Medals are hard to come by in the Championships, so what was won was fully deserved and we congratulate our athletes on their efforts. We had many excellent team performances and some exceptional individual legs, in fact too many to mention so here are the results and finishing times of our 21 teams that were in action.
