A team of our Junior and Senior athletes and a couple of guests competed in the Division 1 National League Final. Having topped the group stages we were one of the favourites to lift the title but despite a great effort by all of the lads Donore proved just too strong and we had to settle for the silver medals with a final pionts tally of 107 to Donore's 115.

It was great to have a team representing the club in this competition after a long absence and it bodes well for the future of the club at a senior level. Well done to all of the athletes and to Sean and Denis for pulling it all together.

Darren Prout..Long ump 1st(6.50m), Triple Jump 3rd (13.20m) and 100m 4th (11.60).
Tom Hennessy..High Jump 3rd (1.65m), 800m 4th (2.02.05).
William Hughes..1500m 3rd (4.04.73)
Seamus Burns..5000m 6th (19.17.51)
Oisin Fitzpatrick..110m Hurdles 1st (15.75).
Dan Finnerty..Pole Vault 2nd (2.80m), 400m Hurdles 3rd (61.75) and Javelin 5th (36.11m).
Killian Cullagh..3000m Steeplechase 4th (10.20.24).
Peter Ryan..56lb for Distance 1st (7.27m), Shot 2nd (11.64m).
Mark Tierney..Hammer 4th (20.32m), Discus 5th (24.75m).

4x100m Relay Oisin, Darren, Dan and Michael Quilligan 1st (44.31).
4x400m Relay Paul, Tom, Michael Quilligan and Liam Finn (3.27.40).

Boys U14:
Joseph McEvoy..Pentathlon 1st

Nenagh Olympic had only one athlete competing in the National Juvenile Multi Events in a wet and windy Tullamore on Saturday.  Joseph McEvoy did the club proud wining gold in the u14 Pentathlon. Joe performed very well in all five events  and needed to do so as only 17 points separated him from the second place athlete after the final event.

Well done Joe on another great performance.
