Due to injuries and various excuses we could only put out four teams in total, which is a concern for the club going forward. Of the four teams in action, three of them brought home medals while our u15 girls team received a harsh lesson.
Girls U18 4 x 400 - 2nd Boys U13 Boys 4 x 100 - 3rd U14 Boys 4 X 100 - 2nd First on the track was our u18 girls 4x400m team and all four girls, Ciara Cummins, Aoife Deering, Leah Farnan and Ciardha Maher put in fine runs to win silver. The boys u13 team of Aaron Walsh, Josh Egan, Jack Mc Evoy and Ted Collins finished 3rd in their final but will know that much improvement will be needed in the All Irelands. The girls u15 team of Aoife Dunne, Sadbh O Mahony, Ellen Lane and Olivia Moylan finished well outside the medals and lessons will have to be learned from this race. The day finished on a high with the boys u14 team consisting of Aaron Walsh, Sean Carolan, Josh Egan and Joseph McEvoy storming to a fine silver medal position with great runs from all of the lads.
