While the number of our athletes in attendance at this event was very small - probably our smallest for years - (and this is somewhat disappointing to our coahces and others putting in hard work at the club), those who did turn up put in some excellent performances finishing with a total of 22 medals; seven gold, five silver and ten bronze.

The seven gold means seven Munster titles and four of those went to Joseph McEvoy who had a super weekend winning six medals in total and setting several new personal bests. 

Ciara Cummins, Michael Quilligan and Killian Cullagh also finished the weekend as Munster champions.

Several of our athletes were multiple medal winners over the two days, Joseph McEvoy five, Sean Carloan four, Ciara Cummins three, Michael Quilligan and Alannah Deering  two each as well as five other single medal wins. All in all it was a very positive experience for all of our competing athletes and well done to all of them.

Our medal winners are as follows

Boys u14:
Joseph McEvoy..75m Hurdles 1st (12.33 secs), High Jump 1st (1,60m), Javelin 1st (27.99m), Discus 1st (29.58m) Long Jump 3rd (4.94m), Shot (11.62m)

Sean Carolan..Hammer 1st (35.27m), Long Jump 2nd (4.96m), Discus 3rd (27,94m), Javelin 3rd (27.84m)

Brian Naughton..Hammer 2nd (28.12m)

Girls u15:
Alannah Deering..800m 2nd (2.26.86), 1500m 2nd (5.09.98)
Emily Tierney..High Jump 3rd (1.45m)

Girls u17:
Leah Farnan..400m 3rd (1.04.40)
Aoife Tierney..High Jump 3rd (1.35m)

Girls u18:
Ciara Cummins..2000m Steeplechase 1st (7.25.00), 800m 3rd (2.21.26), 1500m 3rd (4.53.84)

Boys u18:
Michael Quilligan..400m Hurdles 1st (56.17), 400m 2nd (51.78).
Killian Cullagh..3000m Steeplechase (10.03.43)

Boys u19:
Liam Finn..400m 2nd (56.46)
